The way to use of Sales & Purchase Tab in the Odoo Contacts Module



Most of the time, every user keeps their contact detail in the Book or the Phone directory, and nowadays in the industrial area, they store their contact data in a secure way. In the Odoo ERP system, an individual Contact module is integrated with other modules for the respective need for information. The Odoo ERP contact module secures the contact information inside a company or personal relation. We Purchase and Sale various materials for our daily routines, and it is easy to save these details through the Odoo Contacts module. Users can also have the accessibility to the payment terms and methods for sales/purchases while using the Odoo Contact Module. It is easy to create information about a new contact using the Odoo Contacts module.

This blog will be the briefing of the Sales and Purchases Tab in the Odoo contact Module.

While creating a new Contact a User can view sub-menus after developing a new contact inside the Contacts window. Here, we can see the Sales and Purchases menu at the top of the Contacts window. In addition, we can view the Sales and Purchase tab at the end of the Contacts window. 

Sales

Select one of the Contacts from the Order menu of the Sales Module. A new Quotation and Sales window opens when the user clicks on the Sales button and we can see the details such as Number, Customer, Company, Order date, Salesperson, Website, Invoice Status, and more aspects as depicted in the screenshot below.

1 the Sales submenu in the Contacts windowIn the Graph view, we can view the Customer details on X-axis and the Count on Y-axis. The Measures button enables the user to add several measures to the graph, including Taxes, Margin, Total and more.

2 Customer details on X-axis and Count on Y-axisHere users can create new sales orders inside a contact using the Create button. Add Customer, Delivery, and Invoice Address details in the new window. Select the referrers Quotation Template, and Commission Plan takes referrers precedence.  After that, select the Expiration date and Payment Terms. We can add the Pricelist, and newly added lines will be affected when we change the Pricelist as displayed in the screenshot below.

3 new sales orders inside a contact using the CreateInside the Order Lines tab, we can apply product details by clicking on Add a Product option and the titles in the Order Line tab and adding the details like product name, Quantity, Taxes, Description, and UoM/Unit Price as displayed in the screenshot below.

5 product description by clicking on Add a noteUsers can add the shipping procedure by clicking on the Add Shipping button at the bottom of the Order Lines tab. In the Add, a Shipping Method window, select the method for goods delivery using the Shipping Method field, and the Cost is automatically visible. after, click the Add button, as seen in the screenshot below.

6 add the shipping procedureUsers can generate coupons for the order by clicking on the Coupon button inside the Order Lines tab. In the Coupon Code window, we have to enter the code and click on the Apply button. The order contents apply for necessary promotion programs after clicking on the Promotion button and the User can view the Total amount of placed orders at the bottom, as displayed in the screenshot below.

7 the Coupon Code windowBy Clicking on the Other Info tab, we can manage the Sales, Tracking, Invoicing, and Delivery details of the product. Now enter the Sales Team, Customer reference, Tags, Salesperson, and Company details in the Sales section. After enabling the Online Signature request, the customer confirms the order with an online signature, and the payment request confirms automatically by activating the Online payment field.

Users can adapt accounts for sales orders with Fiscal position and choose Analytic Account for a sales order from the Invoicing section. Add the Delivery date and Shipping policy based on the order below the Delivery title. Enter the document’s reference in the Source document field and name to track the Campaign option. Later, choose the delivery method in the Medium option and Source below the Tracking section.

8 sales orders with Fiscal positionAfter entering the details, click on the Save button, and it is possible to confirm the order by clicking on Confirm button. In the Contacts window, the User can view the number of sales inside the Sales sub-menu as shown in the below screenshot.

Inside the Purchase sub-menu of the Contacts window, Users can see the list of purchases done by a specific individual and we can generate a new purchase order by clicking the Create button. Here, we can see the details, including Reference, Vendor, Receipt Date, Source document, Confirmation Date, Status, Company, Purchase Representative, and Total in the List view as portrayed below.

10 purchase sub-menu of the Contacts windowThe Graph view depicts the Vendor details on X-axis and Count rate on Y-axis. We can add measures including Bill Count, Untaxed Amount, and more aspects using the Measure button.

Inside the Sales section, add the name of the Salesperson and Payment Terms used for sales orders and customer invoices. Select the Delivery Method for a sales order and Select the days for purchase order/vendor bills in the Purchase section and the Payment Terms. 

12 Sales and Purchase tab at the end of the Contacts windowNow apply the Barcode to identify the contact and set the Loyalty Points as per the respective part of a Loyalty program inside the Point of Sale section. Users can determine taxes used for contact as per use of the Fiscal Position field in the Fiscal Information section. Afterward, enter the SLA Policies, Website, Reference, and Website Tags inside the Misc section as shown in the below screenshot.

We discuss the uses of the Sales and Purchases Tab in the Odoo Contacts module. Users will access quickly for the details of sales and purchase orders done by a particular individual contact. Odoo Contacts module manages the contacts, Localization, and Configuration features.
